Advocacy

From 2019-2021, until I moved out of the state, I served on the ACLU of Ohio’s Board of Directors.

I was the chair of the Strategic Planning Committee, through which I led a statewide listening campaign and a 6-month+ conversation and drafting process to transform feedback from volunteers, board members, staff, and as many other Ohioans as possible into our three-year strategic plan.

I also was a member of the board’s Equity and Inclusion Committee, ensuring that the staff hiring process remained equitable.

I am a member of Tzedek Chicago’s Development Committee, fundraising to support our synagogue and its values of equity, justice, solidarity, and liberation.

I was a member of the leadership board for The Walt Disney Company’s Enterprise PRIDE Business Employee Resource Group, where I served as an Ally Engagement Co-Lead.

In that role, I created and distributed educational resources on how to be an effective ally for the LGBTQIA+ community and various sub-communities within that umbrella.

I also facilitated virtual meetups for queer employees across the Disney enterprise, worked to incorporate Marvel’s isolated employees into the broader enterprise community, and served on the communications committee for the 2024 Pride Month celebrations.
